Tribhuvan University is the founding member of Alliance of National and International Science Organizations for the Belt and Road Regions (ANSO). A five member delegates, led by Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, participated the 4th General Assembly of ANSO held during 30-31 October in Beijing, China. The delegates include Prof. Dr. Vishnu Prasad Pandey (Executive Director, Centre for International Relations), Prof. Dr. Shankar Prasad Khanal (Dean, Institute of Science and Technology), Prof. Dr. Iswar Koirala (Director, Research), and Dr Binod Dawadi (Vice Director, Kathmandu Center for Research and Education, KCRE). The General Conference on Science and Innovation was held during 27-29 October before the ANSO General Assembly during 30-31 October, 2025.
It was a great opportunity to get connected with many scholars and institutes across the globe. Further, TU delegations also interacted with Nepali students and faculty members associated with Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and other universities in China in Beijing as well as in Chengdu, more specifically, Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment (IMHE). We discussed on various ways how TU alumni outside Nepal can collaborate and contribute to strengthen internationalization of TU further.
Overall coordination and support for the visit was arranged by the Kathmandu Center for Research and Education (KCRE).
